Well, hello everyone and welcome to our website!

We are The Thatchers - Surrey's best Mumford-style folk covers band and we have had the best summer ever, being the party band for some lovely people all over the country.

We recently had a particularly brilliant gig at The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst for the Officers Summer Ball and it was amazing! We had a lot of fun performing for the Officers and they had certainly put on a fantastic party, complete with a coconut shy, splat the rat and loads of other good old fashioned fairground games - needless to say, we treated ourselves to a few games in between sets!

One thing we'll say about performing at Army bases - they certainly don't mess about with their security! We are all professional Musicians and Performers but I don’t think any of us have had to be checked that thouroughly by security…...holding guns, it was a new experience on the way into a gig, that's for sure!

One thing that really did knock us all back was how amazing the buildings were - dating back to the 1800s, they were incredibly dominating and beautiful and we won’t ramble about the food but WOW! The way to a band's heart is definitely through their stomachs, and these officers did not disspapoint us!

In short, it was a great gig - we had a blast and everyone really enjoyed us. What more can we ask for?
